I’ve got a few rolls of B&W film that are already paid for, so I figured why not use them? The scans suck…but to be honest, without a lightbox I can’t easily see if the negatives suck as well. My eye for B&W isn’t as rusty as I thought it would be, but it’s still nowhere as good as I’d like it to be. That’s what those rolls are for though…practice.

This is the view through the window as you drive into Jasper. I saw it, and thought about stopping the car to set the shot up properly with a tripod. But then I realized I didn’t have the film I really wanted to shoot it with…so I made a promise to myself…I’m returning to get this shot for real I don’t really like this shot…but I was thinking of the blog when I grabbed the camera and took it through the windshield.

This is the sort of shot you only get one chance in your life to take…that’s actually the fog frozen to the railway crossing lights! Looking back at it, I can see a million and one things I could have done to make this photo better. Meh, ah well.

Took this on Mount Seymour yesterday afternoon. The fog through the trees are going to make some great shots. I think these will work out even better in colour where you can see the green of the trees.

The weather was pretty terrible for photos, especially with me only bringing my slower zoom lens. Meh, enough excuses! Here are a few shots from the rallyX. Apologies to everyone I didn’t photograph due to still running a car at the event.

Since traffic was so bad after work yesterday I decided to head to the forks of the credit and play with the camera for a bit. Turns out I was also playing with repairing the distributor for a second time…but whatever.
